Aircon Lead Technician

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Lead in attending the work order requests and concerns of SDC tenants and business units and external clients.
  • Oversee the implementation of technical, facilities services and projects as directed by the Engineering Manager in the given timeline.
  • Supervise the conduct of the AC preventive maintenance services on existing clients based on the approved schedule.
  • Assist on service requests of SDC managed properties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the completion of work order requests by Business Units, External Clients and other building tenants submitted to the Facility Services Department and/or Property Management Office. Estimate time and materials needed to complete the requests.
  • Accomplish the facilities technical services and projects acquired by the Department.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance of Air Conditioning Units of existing clients based on the agreed schedule and scope of works.
  • Performs some duties of the Lead Engineering Technician as instructed by the Engineering Manager, if needed, on the Property Operations Department.
  • Reports to Engineering Manager and/or Building Manager any noted defects on the equipment, incidents and action taken to rectify the matter and implements instructions from Engineering Manager and/or Building Manager on matters that require immediate attention.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of equipment, troubleshooting and application of corrective actions on requested services.
  • Check and inspection engineering tools and equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) prior use. Ensure to conduct an inventory of existing tools, equipment and materials.
  • Ensure safety inspection in the workplace was conducted prior implementation of tasks and activities based on the work plan and scope of works provided by the Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure creation of Service Report upon completion of every service or project accomplished. Maintain data collected. Safekeeping of records on the projects and services rendered by the team.
  • Coaches and trains Service Technicians on the standard operating procedures and guidelines on the conduct of engineering services, projects, installation, repair and maintenance services.
  • Accomplish instructions, projects and improvements assigned by the Engineering Manager/Officer.
  • Ensure all projects and building being maintained by the team are thoroughly inspected for any deficiency.
  • Suggest and implement enhancements for MEPFS and Civil/Architectural systems for our valued clients.
  • To review and monitor Service Technician I or II logbook for daily work updates.
  • Ensure project materials or spare parts are all maintained and stored properly.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager / Officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least vocational diploma/short course certificate in Air Conditioning/HVAC technology, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Electro-mechanical, Welding or any related courses
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in building maintenance, repair and facilities management preferably on high rise building.
  • Basic Electrical Installation, Troubleshooting and Safety
  • Basic Air Conditioning System (Installation, Troubleshooting and Repair and Maintenance)
  • NC II or NC III on DOMRAC (Aircon Servicing)
  • Willing to travel or do field work
