The Delivery Officer is responsible for coordinating and optimizing daily delivery schedules, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and managing communication with drivers and third-party logistics providers to facilitate timely and efficient deliveries.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generates and prepares daily delivery trip tickets and maintains accurate records of deliveries.
- Reviews and analyzes the completeness and accuracy of daily trip tickets, identifying areas for improvement in the delivery process.
- Ensures the optimization of daily delivery schedules, considering factors such as the number of delivery drivers/helpers per truck, number coding and provincial road ordinances, customer location details, truckload capacity, truck condition, customer’s receiving time, cold storage requirements, and processes.
- Coordinates with third-party logistics (TPL) providers as needed to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Manages the rotation of delivery drivers and helpers, including scheduling for Saturdays.
- Assesses and resolves delivery problems reported by drivers, taking into account the information from the Daily Trip ticket schedule or DOT.
- Provides truck details and NMIS MTV No. to cold storage facilities for stock pick-up.
- Monitors and ensures timely delivery status updates from drivers and TPL providers via SMS, and reports any unsuccessful deliveries to the relevant stakeholders.
- Distributes the DOT to all drivers before their travel and provide necessary instructions to TPL representatives when booking their services.
- Updates customer records with special delivery or receiving requirements.
- Communicates new traffic laws in NCR and provinces to drivers promptly, ensuring they are informed and compliant.
- Reports recurring problems in delivery planning and trip ticket schedules to the immediate supervisor.
- Maintains open communication channels, especially outside office hours, for critical concerns related to deliveries. Escalates non-delivery matters to the Delivery Supervisor.
- Submits reports and attaches truck Shell Fleet card consumption to the appropriate department (e.g., ACC).
- Performs additional tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor as necessary for the smooth operation of delivery services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of any 4-year course
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar delivery or logistics role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of delivery operations
- Ability to adapt to changing delivery schedules, prioritize urgent requests, and handle unexpected situations or challenges effectively.
- Preferably someone residing in preferably residing in Bulacan (Guiguinto, San Jose, Barasoain, Malolos, Pulong Gubat)
