Company Driver

A Company Driver is responsible for safely transporting company personnel, goods, or materials to and from designated locations. This role includes maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the assigned vehicle, adhering to traffic laws, and ensuring timely deliveries or pickups. The driver must also demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility, as they often represent the company in public.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Transport staff, goods, or documents as required.
  • Follow scheduled routes or assigned tasks promptly.
  • Inspect vehicles daily and report any mechanical issues.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean, well-maintained, and fueled.
  • Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain a logbook of daily activities, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Assist with loading/unloading items if necessary.
  • Deliver documents or packages securely and confidentially.
  • Report delays, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license is appropriate for the vehicle type (driver’s license codes A-D).
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Proven experience as a driver (company, personal, or delivery-related).
  • Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and GPS usage.
