As the Accounting and Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to the management team
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
- Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s petty cash, ensuring proper disbursement, monitoring, and accurate record-keeping of all petty cash transactions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in senior accounting/ finance role.
- With bookkeeping experience and knowledge
- Preferably with experience in solar or renewable energy and construction.
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software and financial reporting tools
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance requirements
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
