Accounting and Finance Officer (Solar Company)

As the Accounting and Finance Officer, you will play a vital role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to the management team
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems
  • Officer will be responsible for managing the company’s petty cash, ensuring proper disbursement, monitoring, and accurate record-keeping of all petty cash transactions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in senior accounting/ finance role.
  • With bookkeeping experience and knowledge
  • Preferably with experience in solar or renewable energy and construction.
  • Proficiency in the use of accounting software and financial reporting tools
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance requirements
  • Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
