The Procurement Officer – Operations plays a critical role in efficiently managing the procurement process and ensuring the timely processing and delivery of goods to the designated warehouse.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates with brokers for on-time processing and delivery of goods to the designated warehouse.
- Gathers and provides brokers with all necessary documents required to release stocks.
- Monitors the daily progress of incoming stock and addresses any delays or issues that arise.
- Negotiates with brokers to ensure the validity and compliance of the imported products.
- Validates the harmonized code and tariff percentage before the Bureau of Customs assessment.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to address any concerns related to procurement and delivery, resolving issues promptly.
- Recommends the best possible release route to reduce the cost of procurement and delivery.
- Generates and provides arrival notices to all stakeholders to inform them about incoming shipments.
- Collects all relevant data and reports needed to compute the landed cost, including PRR (Pre-Receiving Report), brokerage expenses, duties and taxes, and trucking expenses.
- Analyzes and computes the landed cost of the shipment for each product, classifying products as VAT and Non-VAT, and coordinates with other stakeholders as required.
- Provides timely and accurate product costings to the Marketing Department and Group Accounting.
- Notifies stakeholders by providing arrival notices through Arrival Notice Reports for Hexagon Chemical Corporation and Hexagon Healthcare Corporation, including their respective divisions (Veterinary/Pharmaceutical Raw Material Division and Food Raw Material).
- Analyzes and verifies the accuracy of commercial and shipping documents from trade suppliers, such as Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Analysis, Bills of Lading, and other Marine Certificates.
- Ensures the proper and orderly filing of all procurement and related files.
- Participates in all company-wide activities, programs, awards, events, etc.
- Performs any other tasks that may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of working experience in importation, customs brokerage, and order management
- In-depth knowledge of customs regulations, tariff codes, and trade compliance.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with brokers and suppliers effectively.
- Excellent analytical abilities to compute and analyze landed costs accurately.
- Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis and document management.
- Highly flexible to irregular working time conditions
- Amenable to travel or to do field work
- Preferably living in Bulacan
