Provides management advisory and assistance to Business Units, and assists in the implementation of corporate planning and business development plans and projects of SGS Holdings, Inc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Management Advisory:
- Actively support Business Unit Companies in formulating plans, policies and guidelines including their Annual Business Plan and Budget.
- Provide business and technical advisory to the Business Unit President and Business Unit Division/Department Managers, ensuring the attainment of Unit Company goals and objectives as embodied in the Annual Business Plan and Budget. These include:
- Achievement of sales, gross profit, Net Income After Tax (NIAT) budgets; Accounts Receivables within credit limit & terms, merchandise inventory within the prescribed limit.
- Performing appropriate assessment, analysis, enforcement and preparation of Unit projects, as requested by Management.
- Keeping watch on changing trends of the market, to enhance and develop the products, services and processes of the Business Unit.
- Performing research and recommending changes in strategies and tactics to improve business operations.
- To assist the Business Unit in complying with Hexagon Group of Companies policies and guidelines. These include:
- Interacting with the Business Unit’s Leadership Teams in the form of emails, chats, calls, and meetings or conferences.
- Monitoring operational activities and effectiveness of results, and prepares reports as appropriate (e.g. Monthly Sales Monitoring, Action Plan Monitoring, etc.).
Corporate Planning & Business Development Projects:
- Strategic Growth Initiatives: Support in the research, evaluation, and execution of new business opportunities, including market entry, product expansion, and strategic partnerships, to fuel company growth.
- Long-Term Planning & Analysis: Support the development and ongoing monitoring of the company’s strategic plan, involving market trend analysis, competitive intelligence, and financial modeling to inform key decisions.
- Project Leadership & Execution: Manage assigned corporate planning & business development projects from conception through to implementation, ensuring objectives are met on time and within scope.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track the progress and success of strategic initiatives and projects, providing insightful reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s/College degree in any business course
- 3-5 years experience in business development and corporate planning.
- An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
- Presentation skills with an appreciation of the demands of conflicting interests and of meeting statutory requirements.
- Conducting Market Research; Feasibility Plan/Studies
- Amenable to travel if needed
