MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and executing strategies to acquire new clients, retain existing ones, and promote the cold storage facility’s services to target markets. This role involves active lead generation, client relationship management, negotiation of service agreements, and developing marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and market share. The Sales and Marketing Officer will be key in understanding client needs, offering tailored cold chain solutions, and contributing directly to the facility’s revenue growth and profitability within the competitive logistics and food industries.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Sales and Business Development
- Identify and target potential clients requiring cold storage solutions (e.g., food manufacturers, distributors, importers/exporters, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmaceuticals).
- Conduct sales calls, presentations, and facility tours to prospective clients, effectively articulating the value proposition of the cold storage services.
- Prepare compelling and accurate service proposals and quotations based on client requirements (e.g., storage type, volume, duration, value-added services like blast freezing, handling, cross-docking).
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with clients to secure new business, ensuring profitability and long-term relationships.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs (e.g., new client acquisition, revenue growth, occupancy rates).
B. Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, nurturing long-term relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Proactively identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services to existing clients.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal operations teams to resolve service-related issues, complaints, and inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Gather client feedback to identify areas for service improvement and innovation.
C. Marketing and Branding
- Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the cold storage facility’s services.
- Prepare and update marketing collaterals (e.g., brochures, presentations, website content, social media posts).
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to enhance the facility’s brand visibility and reputation.
- Manage or contribute to the facility’s online presence, including social media and website updates, to attract leads.
- Assist in managing the facility’s public image and relationships with key stakeholders.
D. Reporting and Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information and sales activities in a CRM system (if applicable) or sales reports.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management review.
- Monitor and report on market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends.
- Coordinate with the Billing and Accounting team to ensure accurate invoicing and timely collections from clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a sales, marketing, or business development role
- Prior experience in the logistics, warehousing, cold chain, food manufacturing, or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industry
- The incumbent will be assigned in Balagtas, Bulacan
