The Warehouse Staff is responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and movement of goods within the warehouse. The role involves receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials; accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment; maintaining up-to-date inventory records; and ensuring the warehouse remains clean, safe, and organized. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective coordination with other team members to support smooth warehouse operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving and Inspection
- Unload incoming deliveries and verify quantity and quality against purchase orders or delivery documents.
- Inspect goods for damages, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Properly label and record received items in inventory systems.
Storage and Organization
- Arrange goods systematically in designated storage areas following warehouse layout and safety standards.
- Maintain clear labeling and categorization for easy retrieval.
- Ensure proper handling of perishable, fragile, or hazardous materials.
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular stock counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Update inventory records in the warehouse online systems or manual logs.
- Assist in in identifying slow-moving, damaged, or expired items.
Order Picking and Packing
- Retrieve items from storage according to picking lists or customer orders.
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transport.
- Label and prepare goods for shipment according to company or client requirement.
Shipping and Dispatch
- Load goods onto delivery vehicles in the correct order and manner.
- Verify shipping documents, such as delivery receipts and waybills, before dispatch.
- Coordinate with logistics or delivery teams for timely shipments.
Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Adhere to company policies, security protocols, and legal regulations regarding storage and transport.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Submit daily activity reports to the Officer in Charge
- Assist in preparing monthly stock movement and discrepancy reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or similar course
- At least 1 year experience in warehousing
- Preferably with updated driver’s license (A & B Classification)
- Background or worked with a solar company is an advantage.
