MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Monitors day to day performance and activities on project site and coordination of the agreed projects and services of the department to assist in obtaining maximum productivity, efficiency, quality, service and profitability of the project.
- Ensure compliance with the environment, health and safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications.
- Organize and implement the approved plans, project master plans in coordination with in-house technicians and different sub-contractors and designers
- Conduct assessment and inspection of works, prepares recommendation for payment and certification of contractors’ billings
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement processes and methodologies, identify and address construction issues or delays that may arise and provide appropriate instructions to designated teams on acquired projects and services.
- Assist in the preparation of a cost proposal and/or itemized cost breakdown on repair and maintenance, installation and engineering requirements of clients and monitor project expenses.
- Draft and prepare working drawings, basic and detailed engineering designs required for each particular project and services.
- Formulate project parameters and assign responsibilities to the most capable technicians and monitor its implementation. Prepare the work schedule of all technicians and workers.
- Perform a comprehensive Quality Control Measures / Inspection Plan / Program on budget, schedule, personnel performance, tools and equipment to be implemented on-site as the basis for monitoring the quality of work performed by the technicians and subcontractors to identify and mitigate defects, potential risks or deficiencies in project or services.
- Conduct regular inspections on safety hazards in the workplace including project tools, personal protective equipment (PPE) and equipment of the technicians and subcontractors and implement proper control measures. Promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance among project teams and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including daily progress reports, site diaries, material logs and inspection records
- Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing the company on the field.
- Coordinate with pertinent government agencies and utility companies with regards to clearances, permits, licenses and turnover.
- Ensure the project’s compliance with the applicable codes, laws and regulations, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Prepare and endorse procurement request form, billing endorsement and request for payments required for the assigned project and services. Verify counter-check correctness of the billings submitted by the contractors.
- Prepare, submit and present weekly reports on site progress, productivity, and compliance with project requirements.
- Control cash flow to ensure all expenses are within the approved budget for each Capex project. Conduct technical evaluation and recommendation on the most economical but reliable equipment and design to save on investment.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned by the Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Management Engineering or any related field
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience related to vertical and/or horizontal engineering construction, Electro-Mechanical Construction and Project Management from a reputable contractor, property developer or real estate.
- Preferably licensed Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
- Project Management Professional is an advantage
- Familiarity in Project Management in General or Electro-Mechanical Construction
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, Google Sketch up and other engineering design software
- Basic Technical Skills in design and installation
- Knowledge of all laws that govern building management and maintenance, as well as familiarity with the National Building Code and legislation that have an impact on building safety, emergency evacuation and environmental protection
