Published On Oct 12, 2022

Under Fire Prevention Month, the Hexagon Group of Companies conducted its first fire and earthquake evacuation drill in its new headquarters, Hexagon Corporate Center (HCC). Headed by HCC’s property management team, Jones Lang Lasalle Philippines, Inc. (JLL), the program took place last March 26, 2019. The objective of the drill is to train and familiarize employees with the procedures and their responsibilities in case fire and an earthquake happen. The day started with the Fire Safety and Prevention Seminar. BFP-QC FO3 Robin Topacio and FO1 Rhea Binuya conducted the seminar at 10:00 AM.

Evacuation drills on fire and earthquake took place at 2:00 PM. Evacuation and response teams were composed of employees who will be in charge during fire and earthquake emergencies as crowd controls, exit monitors, searchers, and first aid/disable aid responders.

Fire fighting demonstration was then conducted at the assembly area later in the afternoon. The conductors led the demonstration in using fire extinguishers in case of fire.

Post drill meeting followed, reviewing the observations, recommendations and points for improvement.

Hexagon aims to continue conducting drills, readying its employees in case of fire and earthquakes. With these drills and exercises, employees will be educated and prepared to respond to these emergencies.
