MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Delivery Driver is tasked with the following:
- Delivery of Customers’ Orders
- Custodian of Assigned Vehicle
- Collections and Reporting
- Pick-up of Incoming Stocks (when the needs arise)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Delivery of Customers’ Orders
- Drives and operates the assigned delivery vehicle
- Properly and accurately checks and packaging and condition of stocks for delivery to customer
- Counter-checks the goods to be delivered against sales invoice and/or delivery receipts.
- Ensures that deliveries are according to schedule and are properly acknowledged and signed by the customer or its authorized representative.
- Loads and unloads all items for pick-up and delivery with utmost care, together with the Delivery Helper.
- Communicates with the Sales and Logistics Assistant all the customer questions and/or issues and escalates to the Sales Executive(s) assigned when needed.
Custodian of Assigned Vehicle
- Ensures the utmost security of items loaded on delivery vehicles.
- Performs daily over-all inspection of vehicles prior to usage.
- Performs daily cleaning and washing of assigned delivery vehicles.
- Ensures the strict observance of traffic regulations and practices, courtesy and defensive driving.
- Performs required periodic maintenance schedule of vehicles.
- Responsible for the safekeeping and proper maintenance of tools, spare parts and accessories of the assigned delivery vehicle.
- Ensures accurate recording and timely submission of daily trip ticket and Temperature Log Monitoring.
- Performs basic troubleshooting of vehicles when needed.
Collections and Reporting
- Settles all cash advances and liquidations daily.
- Transmits delivery and other official company documents to the Head Office.
- Transports to Head Office stocks to be picked up by customers or for delivery by Sales personnel.
- Receives and collects payments from customers upon delivery of ordered goods based on instructions from Sales Executives(s) or Sales and Logistics Assistant or the Accounting Clerk/Cashier.
Pick-up of Incoming Stocks (when the needs arise)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess at least Vocational Diploma
- Must possess at least a valid Professional Driver’s License (required to drive up to 6-wheeler vehicle) and Restrictions 1,2,3 or equivalent under new LTO Codes
- Basic knowledge on vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance
- Must be flexible in work locations or site assignments as required and according to business goals and objectives
