MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- Ensures adherence of Company’s operations and business transactions to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Ensures that the internal controls adequately identify, measure and manage regulatory risks.
- Placement of appropriate disciplinary measures to avoid future recurrence of a regulatory breach.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the Books of Accounts and prepares financial statements with related schedules for external reporting to BIR, SEC and LGUs based on Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Files and monitors submissions to BIR of all monthly, quarterly, and annual applicable tax types, including its appropriate e-submissions.
- Keeps abreast with key regulatory changes and updates.
- Effectively communicates the Company’s ethical principles and compliance regulations.
- Must work with management and department units to ensure appropriate contingency plans are in place and set guidelines on how to address possible non-compliance.
- Ensures continuous monitoring and review of compliance processes to help identify possible areas for improvements.
- Reviews contracts entered into by the company in relation to its operations.
- Conducts internal audit.
- Liaises and represents the company to BIR, SEC, LGUs and other government agencies.
- Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the Finance and Accounting Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of a Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or related courses
- Preferably a Licensed CPA
- At least two (2) years relevant experience to the position
- Strong knowledge of PFRS
- Strong knowledge of compliance and tax regulatory standards
- Willing to travel / do field work
